Cardiovascular Conditioning

Cardiovascular conditioning is a key ingredient on the way to better health and physical fitness!

The primary roles of the cardiovascular system are transport of nutrients, removal of waste products, and assistance with maintenance of all the body’s functions.

As you engage in a safe cardiovascular program, your oxygen consumption will increase -  resulting in more energy, weight loss, better elimination of bodily waste. Needless to say everyone should engage in some form of cardiovascular training (after consulting their physician and being assessed by a certified personal trainer).

Our heart muscles need to get stronger in order to perform better.

If we want stronger arms, most of us lift weights to build our arm muscles.

That's a good strategy. 

 

But, unlike most muscles of our body, the heart muscles are "involuntary muscles", which means they  move on their own as long as we are alive and conscious. Therefore the only way to get them stronger is through frequent, repetitive, and vigorous cardiovascular training.
