In early September I entered
Armand’s office at CBC looking for someone who could
familiarize me with the new exercise equipment.
I had used many of the machines at the old club
location, but there are now many new machines that
I had never used.
Armand greeted me, and asked me
to describe my goals. I was interested in increasing
my strength and flexibility to help me improve my
soccer. Fortunate1y for me Armand has had extensive
experience with soccer training and was able to
design a workout plan that was perfect for my goals,
including numerous soccer specific training techniques
and stretching exercises.
Instead of meeting multiple
times a week for a few weeks, I opted for once a
week for three months. I reasoned that I would have
a better chance of keeping with a routine if I stretched
it out for a longer period of time. I’m pleased
to report that it worked out well.
Armand proved
to be very personable, yet demanding. Whenever I
was willing to go too easy on myself, Armand gave
me the encouragement I needed to push a bit harder.
While I only dropped a few pounds of weight (weight
loss was not a high priority) I was able to drop
three inches from my waistline, and increased my
strength and endurance considerably while under
Armand’s training.
